Gymnastics

Pre-School Gymnastics
Twinkle Stars (3 and 4 yr olds)
This program is designed to allow your child (ages 3 and 4 years old) to participate in an activity that promotes fun and physical fitness through the sport of gymnastics. This class operates in a circuit format and includes time on the trampoline, tumbling, beam, and bars. Each class uses sequential skills that will prepare them for further gymnastics in our program. It is also the goal of this program to introduce important socialization skills such as listening, following directions, waiting for turns, and interacting with new friends.
USA Gymnastics is divided up into levels. Each level requires mastery of certain skills before a gymnast moves to the next level. Women’s gymnastics starts at Level 1 and includes all four events; vault, bars, beam and floor exercise. Girls progress individually up through the various levels till Level 10, and then to Elite Gymnastics. Although it is never required for a student to participate as a team competitive gymnast, our program does allow each student the opportunity to move from the recreational program to a competitive program.
All classes use the following training schedule; Warm-up, event rotations, and conditioning.
Bronze Stars 5 and 6 yr olds
The objective of the Bronze class is to begin learning the skills required for the USA Gymnastics Level 1 routines.
This class follows the same lesson plan as the Silver class.* All four women’s events are taught.
Silver Stars 7 yr olds and up
The objective of the Silver class is to begin learning the skills required for the USA Gymnastics Level 1 routines.
This class follows the same lesson plan as the Bronze class.* All four women’s events are taught.
Gold Stars (Invitation only)
This is a USA Gymnastics training class. In this class your gymnast will work toward fundamental skills that will enhance her gymnastics abilities. Balance beam will work on forward rolls, jumps, and basic elements. Floor will work on forward rolls, handstands, backward rolls, and cartwheels. Once one has achieved all Gold skills, your gymnast will work toward Shooting Stars skills and elements.
Boys Gymnastics 7 and up
Progressive skill building is the primary focus of this program. Class format includes a warm up period, an event training period (floor, vault, p-bar, high bar), and a conditioning period.
